← Overview

Obsitex carries a small library of finished prompts for Claude Code. You pick a card, copy it, and paste it into your chat. It spares you from describing the same wish twice.

The cards only pay off with the plugin installed. Without it, Claude answers about LaTeX in general instead of about this converter. See The Claude Code plugin.

Where to find it

In the app, open Tools and then Blueprints. Every card holds one finished prompt and a Copy blueprint button.

Parts written in <CAPITAL LETTERS> are yours to replace before you send the prompt. Everything else can stay as it is.

Finding the right card

Two rows of filters narrow the list down:

Nothing chosen already means everything. A filter that would lead to an empty list goes pale and stops reacting.

How far a change reaches

The third row is not a filter. It rewrites the cards. You set how far a change should go, and every card that is affected changes its text at once.

Setting What the prompt then asks for
One element the one table, image or heading you marked. This is the default
This file every element of that kind in one note
Whole document your whole manuscript, often through a setting rather than at the element itself

Not every card knows all three. Giving a caption to a table only makes sense for one table, and the line spacing only makes sense for the whole document. A card that cannot do the setting you chose says so in one line and names the setting it uses instead.

The marker: saying which element you mean

Claude Code cannot see your cursor in Obsidian. The two programs share nothing but the files on disk. A file name does not help either, because one note can hold three tables.

So you mark the element. Type the characters beside the thing you mean, then copy the card:

Element Where the marker goes
a table into any cell, which leaves the table intact
an image, an embedded PDF, a quotation on its line
a heading at the end of its line
a list into one of its items

The prompt asks Claude to delete the characters again while it works, so nothing of it reaches your PDF. If nothing carries the marker, Claude asks you which file and which element it should take.
