To load the content from OneNote and optionally start the conversion process, you must perform the following steps:
Sign in to your M365 account to give OneLatex permission to read your OneNote notebooks and to read and save files to OneDrive.
Select your OneNote notebook that contains the section you want to convert to LaTeX.
Select the section you want to convert to LaTeX.
Start the conversion process. Make sure that you have set the desired options beforehand:
Task 1: Loads the pages from OneNote via the API. You need to have an internet connection to perform this task. This task is mandatory and cannot be disabled.
Task 2: Saves the content to OneDrive in a proprietary format. This task is mandatory and cannot be disabled.
Task 3: If enabled, OneLatex will proceed directly with the conversion after task 2 is completed. Alternatively you can disable the task and convert one or more temporary files into one LaTeX-file (*.tex) on the 'Convert to LaTeX' navigation page.
Task 4: If enabled, OneLatex saves the *.tex file to OneDrive to complete the process. Alternatively you can disable the task and download the *.tex file on the 'Download Files' navigation page.
The temporary files listed in the “Convert to LaTeX” navigation page were created the moment you loaded them from OneNote. This means that they remain unchanged, even when you add or change content in OneNote.
You can convert one or several temporary files into one LaTeX (*.tex) file:
Click on the play icon to start the conversion of a specific file.
Select the temporary files that you want to convert and merge into one LaTeX file in the first column and click on the “Convert the selected temporary files above” button at the bottom.
