⚙️
These are the app-wide preferences. How your document looks — its design and packages — is not here; that lives in the Document setup (reached in the app via All Tools → Dynamic Document Settings).

Account
Sign in or out with your Microsoft or Google account. Signing in only establishes your identity — it grants no access to your files on its own (see Data protection & permissions).
Conversion
- Vault source — where Obsitex reads from: a local folder (File System Access API, Chrome/Edge) or OneDrive (Microsoft Graph). Local is the default.
- Converter engine — the Markdown→LaTeX engine. The default is Native (in-browser); the dropdown lets you compare engines on the same manuscript.
- Default manuscript path — the folder you usually convert. Setting it enables Quick Convert, which skips the wizard and converts that folder directly.
Version
Your subscription status. In the free version, random text is inserted into your final document; the full version removes it. See Versions.
GitHub Integration
The connected GitHub account, the default repository for uploads, and the branch — used by the GitHub export.
Storage
- Temporary file storage — where files are cached after loading: Browser (local, no login) or OneDrive (cross-device).
- OneDrive & storage — the Manage dialog to grant or review the Microsoft permissions, one Connect per permission.
- Export folder and File name — the output folder and the name of the exported
.tex file.
How it looks

The groups from top to bottom. Shown here without an account, which is why Version says Free version and GitHub says Not connected.
