A short walkthrough from an Obsidian vault to a LaTeX file — four steps in the Obsitex wizard.

Before you start

• An Obsidian vault with at least one note that has a # heading.
• A local vault needs nothing else. A vault on OneDrive needs a Microsoft account.

Step 1 — Account (optional)

Sign in with Microsoft only if your project folder is on OneDrive, or if you want to export to Overleaf. For a local folder, just click Continue — no account needed.

Step 2 — Choose project folder & manuscript

Two choices, one after the other:

1. Project folder — the folder that contains .obsidian (marked ● in the list).
2. Manuscript — the folder inside it that you want to convert.

Details: Project folder & manuscript. The document order comes from Document order.

Step 3 — Convert

The wizard shows three tasks:

• Task 1 — Load the Markdown files from your manuscript (required).
• Task 2 — Save a temporary file in your browser (required).
• Task 3 — Convert to LaTeX (optional; leave it on to get your .tex).

Click Start Conversion.

Step 4 — Get your document

On Download & Export, pick where your files go: Open in Overleaf, Upload to GitHub (the PDF is built via GitHub Actions), Upload to OneDrive, or Download to Browser. See Export & compile.
